This paper examines the role the media plays in shaping the perceptions of the American public in relation to the Seattle protests of globalism and the World Trade Organization. The paper examines the proposed goals and aims of globalism and counters that with the concerns and rhetoric of the protestors. Finally the media representation of the protests will be examined in order to shed light on the manner in which our perceptions of the protests have been influenced.
