This study will examine the data, which has been collected on high-speed chases by the law enforcement communities and government agencies. The findings reveal that police are doing more damage to the public safety due to pursuits, than citizens are being protected by them. These facts point to an incredible increase in car crashes, citizen injuries, and citizen fatalities, which could be prevented if police did not partake in these dangerous pursuits.
