Marijuana Regulation: A Consideration of Possibilities and Needs
This paper shall consider the role of marijuana regulation in the United States and Canada, and by extension in most First World nations. It will examine “pot clubs” in Oakland, California and Vancouver’s Compassion Clubs in Canada. The paper will also examine the social and economic cost of marijuana’s continued status as illegal. The possible benefits of regulation will be considered in light of civil liberty issues.
