Television: Evaluating the Producers and Writers that Created the Golden Age of Television
In this paper we have examined the role of the producer in the Golden Age of television, and why camera angles and filming techniques created greater advantages for dramatic affect and participation by the viewer. In this manner, writers were able to let the camera do more work, as their monologues became one of the sole centerpieces of this kind of TV programming. By presenting the dualistic value of both of these aspects of TV production, we can see why the shows that emulated American life in the 1950s created the Golden Age of television.
