Quebec Nationalism and the Parti Quebecois: From Social Movement to Political Power.
This paper traces Quebecois nationalism from Abbe Groulx to Rene Levesque, from social movement to political power in Quebec City. For the first half of the century Quebec nationalism was only a social movement. In the last fifty years political parties advocating independence for Quebec have been formed at both the federal and political level.
