Historical Relationships Between Economic Development And Pollution.
Within the Third World, development has been and will continue to be an important goal or objective. However, it has also become apparent that development is not achieved without some costs. More specifically, the relationship between economic development and pollution is evident. In effect, as economies have developed this seems to have been invariably associated with some amount, if not a significant amount, of damage to the environment. With this in mind, the purpose of this paper will be to examine the historical relationship between economic development and pollution. The Jay Forrester work entitled World Dynamics is used. 14 pgs. 38 f/c. 13b.
