In this paper we will discuss the life and music of the American composer George Gershwin. We will try to understand why his music was important. We will look at how his music influenced people at that time in the 1920's and how it affected American culture during the 1920Â’s and 1930Â’s. In conclusion, we can see that George Gershwin had a profound effect on American music and American culture.
