How can the government balance the need for increased security with the freedoms guaranteed in the Bill of Rights
One of the key roles of government is to guard its people to manage society in order to furnish security and peace for all of the people on its native land. It is also the responsibility of the government in the United States to provide that protection and peace of mind within the constraints of a unique body of law known as the Bill of Rights, which explains the stipulations of that governmental power to guard, adjust, investigate, search and penalize. The Nation's sense of safety was crudely disturbed on September 11th. It can be assumed easily that the State of civil liberties will also be under assault in the months to come. Moments of crises, times of fear and panic are always hazardous times for civil liberties. Everyone wants to be secure. The people are justified in demanding safety and protection from our government. Most of the people are also concerned regarding maintaining our freedoms.
