This four-page undergraduate paper examines the different stages of life we all go through, and identifies six major challenges people face in their twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, and sixties. Examples and citations from Gail SheehyÂ’s books, Passages and New Passages are included in the paper in order to expand on the authorÂ’s theme and to provide further insights into the issues being discussed. The author concludes that men and women today are confronted with challenges at every stage of their lives, but that the challenges are often different than they were for their parents and grandparents.
