This paper shall discuss Saturn and various aspects of the Cassini mission that has been sent there. The paper will examine what is already known about Saturn, its rings, and its moons in brief. Additionally, some time will be spent on the particulars of the mission itself. Some of the controversy surrounding the mission will be mentioned, however, primary focus will be placed on understanding the scientific merits and interest in the mission.
