This paper is a discussion of lifestyles and modern culture. More specifically the discussion will encompass the ways in which childhood is said to have been discovered and transformed in modern societies. The question as to why scholars like Postman say we are witnessing the disappearance of childhood will be investigated and discussed as well. Predominant conceptions of childhood will be examined and investigated also.
