Since feminism recounts and conceptualizes different experiences of deprivations and oppressions of women, the feminist movement has not grown along a single path. Admittedly, this characteristic is not unique to the feminist movement because all social and political movements branches at one point or another due to disagreement about immediate and long-term goals. But the divisions among feminists are complicated because they attempt to represent the distinct realties that are suppressed by male-dominated realities.
