This paper is the culmination of three essays on Western Civilization. The first essay covers the attitudes of the West towards the East. In this essay, the West is considered Greece and Rome. The second essay gives reasons for the implementation of Catholicism as a religion for previously pagan believers. Finally, the third essay covers bitumen as a major technological advance from ancient society to the present.
