This paper examines the Aryan Invasion of India theory first expounded by European scholars in the mid-19th century to determine whether there is enough evidence to either prove or disprove it. Presently, the theory is being questioned strenuously by scholars who do not believe any invasion actually took place. The paper finds that both sides of the debate have made strong points and that a final determination cannot be made--except in constructivist terms.
